One platform. Many youth voices. A shared mission.
StockSmart is the personal project of Hari Vaidya, a single conviction that financial literacy should not be a privilege reserved for those who can afford it, but a right available to every student willing to learn.
Hari Vaidya
I started StockSmart because I was tired of watching my classmates scroll past headlines about inflation, recessions, and market crashes without understanding a single word. The curriculum taught us the Pythagorean theorem, again, but never how a credit score works, why compound interest is the eighth wonder of the world, or how to read a balance sheet.
This isn't a startup. There are no investors, no growth hacks, no team of twenty. It is one person sitting with a laptop, writing the guides I wish existed when I first opened a brokerage account and had no idea what an ETF was. Every article is researched, every explanation is tested against the standard: would fourteen-year-old me understand this?
The goal is simple but stubborn: build a space where financial literacy is treated with the same seriousness as any other subject in school. Not a get-rich-quick scheme. Not a crypto pump channel. A real, patient, serious education in how money works, written by someone still close enough to the confusion to remember what it feels like.
If you have ever felt like the world of finance was built to exclude you, you are exactly who this was made for.
